What about crazy chestnut halflinger ponies named Gary? LOL! One time a little girl was riding Gary at a show and he took off down the ring cantering.... does that count?

My Falls/Accidents:
Accident #1: I was riding (english style) my horse Malang who had just gotten a bone chip removed in one of her legs and I was riding in an indoor arena. Well I decided that I would try a trot but when I did she took off in the direction of her stall. I ended up with a jarred leg, back, and neck. I couldn't do much for awhile but I was okay.
Accident #2: It was during one of my first riding lessons on my own horse Sonny (riding english). We had just finished the lesson and I was walking him around this outdoor arena to cool him down. We had been around the arena a million times and he spooked. I was way to relaxed and tired so I ended up falling off. Next thing I remember I was in the tack room getting band-aids put on my hands then heading home. Then I remember being on the couch watching TV and my mom talking to my uncle (whos a doctor). Right after she gets off the phone I start throwing up and so we take me to the emergency room. Well it turns out I got a concussion thus not being able to remember everything that happened.
Accident #3: This happened shortly after we moved to Oklahoma. I was riding Sonny (again)(english style) and I asked my mom if it would be okay for me to canter/lope of course she said yes so I asked Sonny for the canter. Well little did I know whenever you ask him to canter he bucks to let some energy out. Granted his bucks are weak but I wasn't ready for it so I ended up loosing my stirrups and getting off balance. I'm trying to get him to stop and at the same time I'm trying to get my balance and stirrups back well he bucks again and I go flying over his head. I was so lucky he stopped otherwise he would have trampled me.
Accident #4: This was awhile after the previous accident and I hadn't gone riding for awhile. Well I finally decided I would try riding again and maybe even cantering so me and my mom went out tacked Sonny (western this time) and we went and lunged him and he seemed fine so after I was comfortable again on him my mom put him back on the lung line so she would have some control over him just in case and we went for a canter again. Well I successfully got him to canter but around our third or fourth time cantering in a circle he got his front legs crossed and he fell. He landed on my leg and I made the mistake of trying to brace myself with my hand/arm. I got lucky again because yet again I didn't break anything at all.
Accident #5: This time I actually wasn't riding a horse this time I was just in the pasture with them. At this time we had leased a horse from a friend of mine and she could be a bit of a butthead at times. Baby Girl gets eaten up by flies really bad on her belly so my mom and me went in there to put some stuff on her stomach. Well Stormy (the horse we were leasing) must have thought we had some treats or something so she started kicking at Baby Girl. My mom was stand right next to the fence so she was able to get out of the way quickly but I had to run to the other fence to get out of the way. Just as I was reaching to pull myself to safety Baby Girl landed on my foot and I went down right behind Sonny and next to some railroad ties which were next to the fence. Since the horses never walk on the railroad ties I crawled up onto them and from there with great difficulty I pulled myself up and held on to the fence. I thought I broke my foot but again I was lucky and just bruised it so badly it hurt to walk so I got stuck in a special boot for the next 4 weeks or so.
Accident 6: This one isn't nearly as bad as any of the other ones. It more just scared me. Me and my best friend took Sonny and Baby Girl out into the big pasture and we were both riding western and everything went great for 20 or 30 minutes and then all of the sudden out of no where Sonny goes bucking bronco on me. I managed to stay on this time and after I got him to the round pen he got his butt worn out. He hasn't pulled that stunt since.
So those are all the accidents that I can think of. I'm sure I'll have more.

i think i fell off about 13 times in 9 years but the worst was just 8 weeks ago. i was gallopping through the forest (i admit pretty fast) when my horse decided to turn right and run up a hill. unfortunately it was a pretty rainy day so ma horse (her name is julie) slipped and fell. she landed on top of me. i got a lot of bruises but the worst was my left thumb. the bone sprang out of it's joint but it didn't break. still i couldn't ride for 5 weeks and it's still not okay. i can't move it properly yet. since that day i always feel kinda nervous when i ride on Julie but i guess that's normal and will just take some time. but the bad thing about it is that julie is not my horse and she's going to be sold :-(
