what were some of your most spectacular falls? we have so many to choose from!
my most memorable wasnt technically falling... but close! I was on holiday, going for a gallop on the beach with a group of other travellers and a guide and the horse i was on, a dappled grey mare called Pepper, skipped up and sideways just as we turned to set off on the gallop. pathetic, i know, but i ended up hanging down her neck watching the others disappear onto the horizon and i remember thinking "it would be so embaressing if my step-sisters knew i'd fallen!" no apparent care for the broken bones lol so pepper set off anyway and somehow i got myself back in to the saddle, but couldnt get my stirrups so ended up kinda kneeling as she flew down the beach to catch up with her pals it was fun!

I hurt myself.. I wacked my head against the metal water trough and then the horse stepped on me.. But I climbed back up in the saddle, lets just say that was 2 years ago. She is 6 years old. And she is one of BT's main Lesson horses.

Okay this fall was kind of fun in a way, I've only fallen off twice in my almost 10 years of riding!
I was riding this horse Adrianna over some cavaletties and a low jump that she could have walked over with out thinking about it if she wanted to, but we were trotting over the jump and she over jumped it by a MILE and I went flying onto her neck, she kept trotting and I was literally hanging from her neck, then I fell off and was standing in front of her. She is a HUGE horse and I was scared, but luckily she stopped and no one was hurt. I got right back up and didn't even cry! Ha.

that must have been scary! i've never been dragged. got my foot cought in Millie's stirrup once, but she was so wonderful about it, she just stood there until i was free. that was my last day riding her, my last day at that stables and the last time i jumped. not a nice way to leave things lol i was so furious with myself, she wasnt even being evil, she was just pratting about before the jump like she always does, i should have been able to handle it so much better.... and it was in a lesson so everyone was watching

Oh that must have been sooo embarrassing. She must have stood like that as a way of saying good-bye. Maybe she was trying to be extra specially nice to you to convince you to stay!

My worst fall would of had to of been when I was barrel racing. We were coming around the first barrel and there was a giant hole there and he fell forward and rolled on top of me. My foot got caught in the iron as the horse got up and continued to do the course. He went around the second barrel then saw something was hanging off of the saddle and freaked. Running around the outside of the arena he pushed me into the fence as he galloped around. I finally got the courage to get up off my dragging but and grab the reins. I got back on and the funny thing was as soon as I was about to walk the horse back into the starting yard I then past out. After all that, not when i fell off, not when I was getting dragged along the fence. Once I finally got back on, how stupid is that?
