oh yea, i was at the royal arab show this year and everyone was cheering each others horses, but it was really freaking the horses out! which is so wierd, i dont know if the crowd were doing it on purpose, but surely showing animals should be focus enough to perform without distraction

Well where my mom takes pictures it is mainly a bunch of rednecks giving their horses and children experience. The only stuck up people are the people who show minis. Ugh.

It is cute! They do this thing called Liberty where they set the horses loose (my friend actually did it with her Appy gelding, but let's not go there! lol) and they play music for one minute while the owners chase horses around trying to make them buck and trot pretty, it is really cute and the horses have a great time, then when the music stops they start another stop watch and see how long it takes the owners to put a halter/lead on the horses.

Well guys...Im going to jump in if you don't mind, but I don't like snobby horse riders at all. I love to show, but don't get to all the time. But at one show I knew this girl because she was really nice and helped me out in the start of riding english and so she had a different horse. I asked who's horse that was and she just kinda looked at me like I was stupied or something. I was like "wHAT?" and like she would even look at me or anything. My horse jake was kinda acting up becuase he thought we where doing barrels becuase it was in a rodeo arena. So I had to acutal walk him into the ring, becuase he wouldn't let me ride him in there then I couldn't get on. So i was so embaress. Then once we did are circle we like flew threw the jumps and we where post to be doing hunters not jumpers lol. But I can't blame him, he was doing waht he was trained to do. But I got to shows for the fun of it, I don't care if I win the ribbions. Im just glad to be there with my horses and have a blaste riding him.

that's such a refreshing attitude, chick! great to hear, the fun is so often lost in the competition of horse shows
