What do you see when you go for a walk in the woods? I know some of you don't live in a place where you can walk in the woods, like big cities like Boston, but what would you like to see? When I walk in the woods I see things like deer, squirrels, chipmunks, TURKIES GALORE...

Um.. Well Aussie forest are a bit different to America and england, because the are not big tall trees and such. Well some are but where I live the Forest is all the shrub and gumtree but I will give it a shot. I saw a hare, a herd of wallabies, a couple of kolas, a herd of Kangaroos, a bearded dragon, a goanna, a few snakes, a blue tongue, a hawk and I think that was it....

Huh. I had to pick an Austrailian animal to study once and I chose the Kuckaburra or how ever you spell it. Have you ever seen one of them?

LOL I think they are such beautiful birds, but since I live in USA I only see them in zoos. I think zoos are terrible though unless the animals are born in captivity. Then they don't know what the wild is like and are usually happy.

apparently people are trying to reintroduce moose and wolves and bears and lynxs into parts of scotland, and of course its naiive to think they wont spread. so soon a walk in the british woodland may be very different, if local farmers dont trap or poison all the incoming wildlife first. which they will, because humans are selfish and have no empathy

LOL I enjoy reading your posts Lewis! You always think of the coolest or funniest things to say...
I would be really excited if I heard that more beautiful animals were coming to my area. I've seen a moose in the wild twice, both times I was on a four-wheeler. People always tell us they see moose in our yard, but we have never seen a moose at our house.

i saw a program about that a while ago, some businessman thinking it would be a fun little project. more money than sense, they'll never go through with it. they cant, britain's far too humanly populated to get away with large mammals around, especially predators. think of the controversy over foxes now!

Yeah, that's true. Are there any uninhabited places in Britain?
