we are smart, but animals are more in touch with their nature side...we have it too, but over the years of evolution and adaption, we realize we dont need to pay attention to that so much anymore..if there is a storm, we just go in our houses....that is one example. =] if we had no technology, you better beleive we'd be watching for the weather changes in nature ourselves. =]

Mmm. By the way, how does the Farmer's Almanac work? Do a bunch of old farmers get together and be like, "I believe that this year, it's gonna snow!" in their old redneck voices, or is THAT now technolegic too?

i have no idea...i know i have read one before and it was confusing...but farmers tend to be very in touch with their nature side....by my house all the farmers cut hay on the same day...like magic..but it happens to be the best day to do it and all them know it....they pay very close attention to the weather..one slip up and a whole crop can be ruined. =[

Yes. It was like that in the Laura Ingalls Wilder books. I have read them all quite a few times!

Indeed they are. I like Farmer Boy the best, just because I can relate to Manzo even though I don't live on a farm. God would I trade anything for his life though! It seems perfect... rich (for those times), living on a farm, horses galore...

Actually, "in now days", its half technolegic and half instinct... Listening and watching everything that happens but also whatching weather reports...

Thank you for clearing that up Mate! And is the Farmer's Almanac the same all around the world? It shouldn't, since you Aussies have different seasons than us American folk, but is there an almanac for every country?

Sort of we all have our own little groups... Kind of like school. Every farmer in one place gets together to discuss everything.
