Hes kind of mean when he teaches and doesnt really give you a chance, but, he is a REALLY good trainer. I learned A LOT when I rode with him.
His horses? He rides a stallion named Jetstar and the mare I rode is Gege (Gigi). She was a great horse to ride. I did some of her training. We worked on flying changes. She had a really even stride and a great jump.

Same. My old instructor Karen used to tell me to stick my toes out and now I get yelled at for oing that!
They are both Warmbloods of some sort.

you have to stick your toes out so that if you're not winning at showjumping its easier for you to break an ankle on the jump wings and sue the stadium haha

LOL that's funny Lewis! I'm lucky I guess, my heels always fall down. It feels strange to put my toes down. Never heard of Braun Appliances, sorry!

norsu, it feels strange to put your toes down because it pushes your seat back, collapsing your abs so you cant properly absorb the movement and are far more likely to slip down the horses neck! lol no style teaches toes-down, do they?

I'm not sure, but probably not. It would look kind of strange too...

yep it does look really unnatural and instable. its awful watching newbie riders who havent got that flexion in their ankle yet putting their toes down as soon as their horse goes fast... flips your stomach! lol

I know! I hate seeing gory stuff... I have to close my eyes in scary movies sometimes- not because I'm scared because it is gross!
