My pretty gelding!

I have a horse that I was given for my birthday this year. He is a 4 y/o Paint gelding. He was first trained to be a race horse, but he didn't put his heart into it. Then he was shipped to a friend of the person who owns him to be trained to hunt and jump. He didn't put his heart into that either, so I am told.


He is a sweetheart, too. But he is a bully to my uncles pony.


His name is Duplicate and he is somewhere between 14.2 hands and 15.2 hands high. He has a dollar sign brand on his front left leg. I don't have any pix right now, sorry.

A paint, as a racehorse? That weird, their not bred for speed... Thoroughbreds would leave a in behind.. Or is this a different type of racing?

there is arabian, paint, and throughbred racing. =] there are a ton of different breed racing. =]

I was just gonna say that same thing Gold. I seen Arabian and Quarter Horse racing before along with the Thoroughbred. Not quite sure with the paint but I can believe it. ;D

Is your guy a solid paint or regular black/brown..ect. and white?

Appaloosas race too. I'm a lifetime member of the APHC or something like that. Yup.

It all depends on the heart of the animal as to whether it can race or not. I had a paint that could out run a Thoroghbred easy......but she had the heart.

Well, it isn't just the heart. I doubt a Haflinger could outrun a Thoroughbred no matter the size of the heart.

well that does play a part in it too, norsu. but i also had a quarter horse that outran thoroughbreds. i also have a halflinger/shetland that gives my barrel horse a run for her money when me and my friend race them in the field. she has heart. haha
