Argh, I been looking over the net for blankets for the winter because with the barn burnt down there not really anywhere to put them in on the really cold days. Well I found some really nice stuff but i need to measure one of my ponies, Dinah. And Pilgrim is like 72" but the last time i order a sheet for him it was a little big for him it came over his butt more then it should. He alway lift his tail up to the left i think ? and would get poo all over the right side something like that and i don't really want that when i have mid-weight blanket which take more time to clean. I was wondering if anyone knew what i should or can do. Stay with the same size or go smaller or something else? Open to anything

maybe try going smaller? my horse gets poop all over his blankets anyway, even the ones that fit him right. he also rips every blanket i get him and has a fasination with taking OFF his blankets and peeing on them....he is a houdini. =]

sry but lolz. My Pilgrim is pretty good with his blanket. i have like a shipping blanket on him now. it not waterproof and well when snow fly and the rain pours. Well it not gonna protect him real well. I simply decided to go with a 72" because the blanket i have on him now fits like a glove on him and if it a little baggy. That just mean less wind blowing under the blanket i guess...idk. I came to that Dinah is a 68" I was thinking before she be 70" but that was just too long because that was the size of my sister horse. "she has a really long back for a pony" Idk i might measure her again. Just to make sure it not like anyone buying the blanket for me. And if it doesn't work out for her it would work for moses

LOL I wish I could give you some advice, but I've never had a horse to fit a blanket to! Maybe you could try talking to you your blanket provider? Or maybe a barn in your area that you have talked to before. Ask around, I bet people who can do it hands on will give better advice than your Internet friends! LOL

If I was a horse, I'd need a super thick blanket! I'm always cold, and I wish I was a dog with black hair sometimes so I could warm right up! Gold it is a good thing you are a member of this, or your horse would be a bit chilly! Oh that reminds me...
One time when my BFF was like, 3 years old, her mom made chili and her mom told her about it. Lindsey tried it, then she started crying and was like, "Chili no chilly mommy, chili HOT!"
That story cracks me up.

lolz i just spray mine blankets down with the hose and let it hang. Just leave it out int he rain. Also my horses don't get there blanket that dirty. Plus Pilgrim in the summer with his fly sheet. He rolls in the pond.

LOL rolling in the pond is a good way to get stuff dirty... lol. If it isn't one thing, it has to be another. (blankets-flysheets)
