I will admit that rodeos may seem cruel to people, but don't forget the bulls and broncs are professionally TRAINED to do this. I do hate in when people say that there is no point to the rodeo when there is, it is showing what happens at a ranch/station, the traditional actions that go on.

but don't forget the bulls and broncs are professionally TRAINED to do this. HAHA! Trained? HAHA! They could not be less trained! I know where I am coming from. I spent 2 years being told to shock the horse that I was "caring' in the face right before he was let out of the shoot. He feared everyone. Even me. I never forgot the look of fear on his face when the "vet" put him down when he broke his back, bucking.

Yes, it is. about 87% of rodeo horses are teated that way. I got fired when I lost it, told the owner to get a life, and flipped him off.

Excuse me I help TRAIN broncs for the gill and Anderson rodeo in Australia, don't tell me they are not trained. I know so many horses that have broken their legs in cross country and show jumping. Do those sports get put down, of course not all people say is "these things happen". Bronc horses aren't just horses bought from slaughter. Most of them are bred to buck. As the for the shocking, race horses get shocked, I have seen purebred Andalusian stallions being shocked because they go to "happy" when a mare walked past their stall. Every sport as its abuse to the animals. With the rodeo I guess it is shocking. Do you get nervous before a race? Horses do to, how the hell do you know that the horse just is anxious and can't wait to buck the shit out of the rider? (sorry that it just sounds like I am being a bitch I just get really into it..)

Just for the record, I'm against animal racing. (except turtle racing that is just plain cute! lol)

OK people say horses that race die younger then others.. True but horses that race live longer then horses in the wild. Think about that.

I worked as a strapper for a few years. They are treated like kings, yes there are some downfalls, but hey what sport doesn't? Though they live most of their life in a box, they do get spelled onto property's with thousands of acres when they need a break.
