i was admin on a major forum for a computer game clan, i was a clan leader, and we had a private board for leaders and other hgih ranking peeps etc, and it was a good idea, because wqe can bitvch about people we dont like, and we can discuss what to do about them. being open is all very well, but somethings just dont get done in a democracy, if everythiung has to be voted on and argueed, nothig will get done. in the we voted for the super mod, reef is in charge and thats that. its like governement, we voted them in so dont complain.

First of all, this is not Reef would never do that in a staff board. Second, I will complain, Third, don't tell me democracy does not work. USA elected Obama, so there's your proof. Lastly, I don't know why you want to hid what you are saying. If your just throwing ideas, why hid it? Do I need to make that bigger?

point being, thowing ideas around may make some people like this idea, some like another idea and not all idead can be implemented. and im sorry, yes democracy is the only 'humane' political system, but i has is draw backs, namely time spent argueiing. besides we have the admins and g mods who are in charge, who we elected democtactically if you will, and we should trust them not to make a balls up of it. They need to discuss whats going on, without having to worry about what they are saying in case it offends some1 or whatever. it would make no difference if thery talked to each other on msn or by email, only this way there is a record for them.

"bitching" i deffinately not the word. and since we dont actually have any difficult members we dont have anything to say, but if we did then you wouldnt want a convo saying "have you already warned X about their behaviour?" "how long until we ban them?" etc in public i feel uncomfortable coordinating where we're advertising being public too, i dont think anyone would want to join then read that and feel theyre being "processed"
