Okay, well is it just me, or dose LP seem popular right now?
It's not that I hate the band, I mean come on, I am a total fan of them if you get to know me.I'd love to go to a concert with them in it if I could!
But right now, it feels as if there are SO MANY Linkin Park fans out there. I mean, every five out of six or seven peole that I talk to on HL just love/adore them or have loved/adored them before in life.
Is there a reason for you why you think they are so popular/unpopular?
In my opinion, they are very popular right now because their songs actualy make people compare the songs to them. Like me, I compare their songs Runaway, In The End, & Somewhere I Belong to me because:
1. Sometimes I actualy do feel like I wanna run away, & that every wave of tension brings another cloud of broken trust. And plus, it's hard to open up my mind where I live.
2. I feel like sometimes, that in the end, it really doesn't matter. And that time really is a valuable thing, it counts down 'till the day ends, & it actualy does tick everyone's life away into when they are going to die.
And...
3. I really can't find somewhere I belong, but I do want to. And I wanna find what I thought was never real, which was a place out-side my rinky-dink town. And that I'm hollow & alone because the fault is my own.

every song written by the artist means something and can be related to which is why cliche, contrived, vomit-of-industry pop songs are so bad! lol i havent noticed LP were that popular, but it could be their blending of genre that appeals to people of pretty much all music tastes. for instance, chester has the amazing ability to make screaming sound melodic! the music itself has flavours of metal and hip hop, and the merge of rap/song/scream just makes it really textured, so theres always going to be something in it people like wow, thats almost sounded like i know what i'm talking about lol

they're popular because people who like synths can feel hard-ass. haha i do quite like them actually, just not enough to buy any of their albums

Hmm. I've kinda heard of them but never actually listened to any of their music. As I have said before, I'm a country/classic rock fan.

a band being widely known doesnt mean they're bad, although my subconscious seems to think so! lol i hated Greenday when they were popular with American Idiot but nowthat's died down i actually really like them. If no one had ever heard of Metallica i'd be preaching their phenomenal sound and worshippping them, but since they're such a household name I take more of a "yea, they're ok" point of view. its really wierd
